Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of this website and any tutoring services you arrange with One Education. By using the site or booking a session, you agree to them.
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. Who these terms are with
This website and the tutoring services described on it are provided by One Education, an online tutoring service (“we,” “us,” “our”). By contacting us, booking a session, or using this site, you (“you,” the parent, guardian, or adult student) agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
2. The services we provide
We provide one-on-one academic tutoring in reading & English, math, and science for K–12 students, in person within our service area or virtually. Tutoring is an educational support service. We work hard to help students improve, but we do not guarantee any particular grade, test score, admission, or outcome. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including the student’s effort, attendance, and circumstances.
3. Booking, consults, and diagnostics
Engagements typically begin with a free consult and a diagnostic assessment. Booking a session means you have reviewed the relevant details and agree to the applicable rate shown on our Tutoring & Pricing page. A session slot is reserved for you once we confirm it.
4. Fees and payment
- Rates are listed on our pricing page and are charged per hour according to the course being tutored. We may update rates from time to time; changes do not affect sessions already booked or prepaid packages already purchased.
- Single sessions are billed on the day of the session. Multi-session packages are paid in advance and are subject to the expiration windows described at purchase.
- Packages are non-transferable and, except as required by law or as we otherwise agree in writing, non-refundable once used. Unused, unexpired package sessions may be refunded or credited at our discretion.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
We ask for at least 48 hours’ noticeto cancel or reschedule. With that notice, the session is returned to your package or not billed. Cancellations inside 48 hours, and no-shows, are charged in full, because the slot was reserved and usually cannot be filled. We waive this for genuine emergencies and illness — just let us know. We reserve the same flexibility to reschedule when necessary, and will give you as much notice as we can.
6. Responsibilities of parents and students
- Provide accurate information and a suitable, safe environment for sessions.
- For students under 18, a parent or guardian should be reachable during sessions.
- Ensure the student attends on time and comes ready to work.
- Provide a working device and internet connection on your end.
7. Communications consent (email, SMS, and phone)
By giving us your email address and phone number, you agree that we may contact you with service communicationsneeded to arrange and deliver tutoring — scheduling, confirmations, reminders, session notes, and billing — by email, text message, and phone.
Separately, if you check the marketing-consent box on our contact form or otherwise opt in, you agree that we may send marketing and informational messages — availability, tips, reminders, and offers — by email, text message (SMS), and phone call to the contact details you provided. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. This marketing consent is not required to receive tutoring, and you may withdraw it at any time: reply STOP to a marketing text (or HELP for help), use the unsubscribe link in an email, or simply tell us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop the service messages needed to run sessions you have booked. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on how we handle your information.
8. Cancellation of ongoing tutoring
Either of us may end an ongoing tutoring arrangement at any time, for any reason, with reasonable notice. If we end it, we will refund or credit any unused, prepaid sessions.
9. Intellectual property
Materials we create and share with a student — worksheets, notes, practice sets — are for that student’s personal educational use. Please don’t resell or redistribute them. The content and design of this website are ours and may not be copied without permission.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The website and its content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, One Education and its tutors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the website or the services, and our total liability for any claim relating to the services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the sessions giving rise to the claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which One Education is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer protection you are entitled to under the laws of the country where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
